Bob and Gail, Tim and I have enjoyed staying @ RBC
twice, one in the summer and then in the winter. We
loved it and plan a late winter get away in Feb. Quiet
in not the word for your place. We have escaped to a
piece of heaven on earth. Your care of us far passes any
name resort. All you have put into your place is
amazing. Sharing it with others and giving of your self-expression by the details in the cabin shows both of
your great characters. Gracious hosts - personal touches
to make our stay so wonderful. The birthday cake for me
was so caring. Can't wait to see you soon. Just love it

Thank you both for your hospitality. This is a place we
will come back to … this is the most relaxing place we
have ever been too … perfect for our 1st anniversary.
From the fresh bread (excellent!) to the time to leave …
we enjoyed every minute … next time we’ll bring the
Harley and will need some riding partners. Linda and
10/9/2005 Christy and Rick Concord, New Hampshire We
absolutely loved the week we spent here… the tranquility
is exactly what we wanted for our honeymoon. We tried to

pond, walking in the woods, the campfire, the wildlife.
Thanks for the warm bread and the warm hospitality. And,
thanks for making this experience available to us. P.S.
For lovers of nature, this is the place to be! Christy
and Rick 10/2/2005 Amanda and Damon Charleston, South

weekend. It is so nice to be able to trade the beach for
the mountains whenever we can and the cabin is such a
nice place to bake a break from school and forget what
we should be studying for. We hope you have a wonderful
year and we hope to see you again next year. Amanda and

fresh bread, lovely views and the hospitality … we’ll be

beautiful and peaceful, playful too … we can’t imagine
having an outdoor shower at our house near Philadelphia.
Once inside, the treats kept coming … the cabin is
beautiful! You really worked hard to anticipate our
needs. Everything you could want was here for us. We
will soon celebrate our 25th anniversary … your

Melissa and Mike Thomasville, North Carolina Thank you
for opening up your home to us, for your hospitality and
for providing a memorable time for my husband and I upon
his discharge from the USMC. This was our first time in
a cabin and I must say … this will not be the last you
see us at the Rocky Bottom Cabin. You guys have created
a relaxing haven for high-strung city-slickers. Your
place should be in a travel magazine ! … I have never
lodged at a place that I felt so at home … “home away
from home”. Melissa and Mike
8/13/2005 Kathy and Russell Mayberry, North Carolina We
can’t thank you enough for our wonderful weekend at RBC.
The peace and quiet, listening to the frogs and screech
owls at night were great! We also had a ball sitting in
the c reek, cooling off and relaxing. You have done an
incredible job with the cabin and you are also a perfect
example of what true southern hospitality should be. I
don’t think we’ve ever felt so welcome anywhere as we
did with you, thanks for that! … Rest assured, we’ll be
back (with the pups) Russell and Kathy
Mac and Josie Sarasota, Florida We were glad we got to
share your little bit of heaven. It’s so peaceful and

It was great meeting you and Gail and Kallie and
Chipper. Hope to come again. Dinner was great Friday
night. Tricia and Albert
7/3/2005 Sareta and David Forest City, North Carolina We
have been looking for a place close by where we can go
hide and relax for a bit. This has been very good. The
quiet, the sound of water over the rocks in the creek
made it restful. We needed that. Thank you for the
delicious bread and everything. We will look forward to
returning when we need this again. Dave and Sareta
7/1/2005 Debbie, Ernie and Toby the pup Melbourne,
Florida Even a week was too short. The cabin and
property were perfect. It’s obvious how much love and
hard work you have put into this place. It’s been so
nice to relax in such a beautiful place. Your
hospitality made it a vacation to always remember. I got
to spend time in the mountains … Ernie got to fly and
Toby got to run. We wouldn’t ask for more. We’ll be
back. Thank you, Ernie, Debbie and Toby
6/22/2005 Beth and Bill Mineral, Virginia We cannot
thank you enough for letting us use your cabin – we have
not been this relaxed in longer than we can remember.
All of the work and attention that the two of you put in
to making the stay so enjoyable is very much
appreciated. Our favorite spot was sitting on the deck
in the early morning or late at night and enjoying the
sound of the creek and watching the deer and turkeys.
Gail, thank you for the wonderful bread, it was hardly
done before we were slicing it up and enjoying! We will
be back next year - but this time for an entire week.
Thank You!! Beth and Bill
6/18/2005 Jessica and Bill Shelby, North Carolina Thank
you so much for letting us use your cabin for our
honeymoon. It was special to be so far away from other
people and yet be close enough to visit the tourist
attractions around the area. We enjoyed wading in the
creek … and relaxing on the porch swing afterwards. Hope
we can visit again in the future. Jessica and Bill
5/29/05 Jon and Ruthie Beaufort, South Carolina Gail and
Bob, Keep that membership to the Chamber of Commerce
current …we are so thankful we found you! Jon and I have
not been this relaxed (even at home) in a very long
time. Yes, we will tell our friends … but reluctantly.
You all make this such a special place that it’s nice to
think of as “our little secret”. We’ll definitely be
back … the sooner the better. Thanks again for such a
wonderful time and your warm hospitality Jon and Ruthie
5/27/2005 Lou and Patricia Lakeland, Florida and St.
